July 3 (SeeNews) - Serbia has opened for traffic a 5 km section of the motorway linking Belgrade to the Croatian border which was reconstructed by Bosnian civil engineering company Integral Inzenjering, the infrastructure ministry said.
The section, linking the Batrovci border crossing to the northern town of Sid, opened for traffic on July 1, the infrastructure ministry said in a statement earlier this week.
Last month, the director of the Serbian unit of Integral Inzenjering, Mitar Vukovic, said the company is doing its best to complete the works on the overhaul of a 21.6 km-long section of the motorway by November 15.
Integral Inzenjering started works on the overhaul of a bridge crossing the Bosut river, while the revamp of the Sid and Kuzmin toll booths is also underway, the infrastructure ministry said.
Serbia started in August a 16.5 million euro ($18.6 million) project for the overhaul of the 21.6 km section between Kuzmin and Batrovci, on the border with Croatia.
