May 6 (SeeNews) - Total indirect tax revenue in Bosnia and Herzegovina rose 21.82% year-on-year to 3 billion marka ($1.6 billion/1.5 billion euro) in the first four months of 2022, the country's indirect taxation authority said.
The net revenue from indirect taxes after VAT refunds amounted to 2.36 billion marka in January-April, up by 356 million marka compared with the same period a year earlier, the indirect taxation authority said in a statement on Thursday.
The net revenue was distributed between the state-level government, the governments of Bosnia's two constituent entities - the Federation and the Serb Republic, and Brcko district.
Additionally, the Federation received 67.6 million marka, the Serb Republic 44.7 million marka and Brcko 2.3 million marka from special toll revenue for the construction and reconstruction of motorways and roads.
In April alone, indirect tax revenue in the country came in at 776 million marka, up by 132 million marka compared with April 2021.
