January 19 (SeeNews) - Total indirect tax revenue in Bosnia rose 17% to 8.45 billion marka ($4.9 billion/4.3 billion euro) in 2021, the country's indirect taxation authority said on Wednesday.
The 2021 net revenue from indirect taxes after VAT refunds amounted to 6.9 billion marka, up by 990 million marka from the previous year, the indirect taxation authority said in a statement.
The net revenue was distributed between the state-level government, the governments of Bosnia's two constituent entities - the Federation and the Serb Republic, and Brcko district. Most of the money, 3.79 billion marka, was allocated to the Federation, the Serb Republic received 2 billion marka, the state-level institutions received 780 million marka, and 210 million marka went to Brcko.
Additionally, the Federation received 216 million marka, the Serb Republic 142.8 million marka and Brcko 7.3 million marka from special toll revenue for the construction and reconstruction of motorways and roads.
