October 4 (SeeNews) - Bosnia's Serb Republic environment ministry said it has received a request by local renewable energy company Hidroelektrane Bistrica to conduct a preliminary environmental impact assessment (EIA) study for three planned hydro power plants near the city of Foca.
The planned hydro power plants will have a combined capacity of 34.1 MW and will be built on the Bistrica river, the ministry said in a statement last week.
The public can examine the request and submit an opinion within 15 days from the publication of the notice.
The Serb Republic is one of the two autonomous entities that make up Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Federation.
