January 24 (SeeNews) - The environment ministry of Bosnia's Federation said it has received a request from local renewable energy company HB Wind to conduct a preliminary environmental impact assessment (EIA) of a project for the construction of a 43 MW wind farm.
The Orlovaca project, to be developed in the municipality of Livno, will encompass 13 wind turbines of 3.3 MW each, the Federation environment ministry said in a notice earlier this month.
The public can examine the request and submit an opinion within 30 days from its announcement made on January 12.
HB Wind signed a 30-year concession contract with the economy ministry of Canton 10 for the construction of the wind farm in 2010.
Canton 10 is one of 10 cantons of the Federation, one of two constituent entities of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Serb Republic is the other entity.
