April 1 (SeeNews) - Bosnia's gross domestic product (GDP) growth slowed to a real 1.6% year-on-year in the fourth quarter of 2019, from 3.1% in the preceding quarter, the country's statistical office said on Wednesday, citing non-seasonally adjusted figures.
On a quarterly comparison basis, seasonally adjusted GDP decreased by 0.1% in October-December, compared to 0.8% growth recorded in July-September, the Agency for Statistics said in a flash estimate.
In the fourth quarter of 2018, the country's GDP grew by 4.1% year-on-year in real terms.
The largest real annual growth of gross value added in the fourth quarter of 2019 was recorded in the information and communications sector (+8.9%), and administrative and support service activities (+7.3%), the statistical office said.
On the other hand, the arts, entertainment and recreation sector recorded the biggest fall in gross value added, by 6.3%, followed by the mining and quarrying sector with a 3.7% decline.
