July 1 (SeeNews) - Bosnia's gross domestic product (GDP) growth accelerated to a real 2.0% year-on-year in the first quarter of 2020, from 1.7% in the preceding quarter, the country's statistical office said, citing non-seasonally adjusted figures.
On a quarterly comparison basis, seasonally adjusted GDP rose by 0.3% in January-March, compared to 0.1% decline recorded in October-December, the Agency for Statistics said in a flash estimate on Tuesday.
In the first quarter of 2019, the country's GDP grew by 2.7% year-on-year in real terms.
The largest real annual growth of gross value added in the first quarter of 2020 was recorded in the information and communications sector (+8.4%), and other service activities (+7.8%), the statistical office said.
The manufacturing sector recorded the biggest fall in gross value added, by 5.8%, followed by the construction sector with a 2.8% decline.
