March 30 (SeeNews) - The gross domestic product (GDP) of Bosnia and Herzegovina grew by a real 1.7% year-on-year in the fourth quarter of 2022, following an annual increase of 2.6% in the third quarter of 2022, and an 11.6% rise in the fourth quarter of 2021, the country's statistical office said on Thursday.
On a quarterly comparison basis, GDP expanded by 1.2% in seasonally-adjusted terms in October-December, after it contracted by revised 0.5% in July-September and increased by 2.7% in the fourth quarter of 2021, the statistical office said in a first estimate made under the expenditure approach.
Bosnia's economy expanded by 7.1% in 2021.
Earlier this month, Bosnia and Herzegovina's central bank said it expects the country's economy to have expanded by 3.9% in 2022, slightly lower compared with its November forecast of 4.1% growth.
