BANJA LUKA (Bosnia and Herzegovina), July 9 (SeeNews) – Serbian oil and gas company NIS, via its Bosnian unit G-Petrol, launched on Thursday its first filling station in eastern Herzegovina, in the city of Trebinje, as part of its regional expansion, local media reported.
G-Petrol plans to follow on with the launch of filling stations throughout Bosnia, news agency Srna reported, quoting G-petrol's retail director.
In Bosnia G-petrol operates a total of 36 petrol stations - 27 under the Gazprom brand and 9 white-branded petrol stations.
Earlier this year Serbia’s NIS Petrol, a fully-owned unit of NIS, said it plans to operate 250 units under the Gazprom brand in Serbia, Bulgaria, Romania and Bosnia by the end of 2015.
NIS, 56.15%-owned by Russia's Gazprom Neft, is one of the largest vertically integrated oil and gas companies in Southeast Europe. Main activities include the exploration, production and processing of oil and gas, as well as the production and trade with a wide range of petroleum products.
