December 6 (SeeNews) - Bosnia and Herzegovina's foreign debt totalled 9.4 billion marka ($5.4 billion/4.8 billion euro) at the end of the third quarter, slightly higher compared with 9.3 billion marka at the end of June, the country's finance ministry said.
The external debt of Bosnia's Federation entity rose to 5.2 billion marka at the end of September from 5.1 billion marka three months earlier, whereas the foreign debt of the Serb Republic entity was unchanged at 4.1 billion marka, the finance ministry said in a quarterly debt report.
The foreign debt of Brcko district amounted to 45.2 million marka at the end of September, down from 48.2 million marka at the end of June. The external debt of the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina fell to 62.5 million marka at the end of September from 64.6 million marka three months earlier.
At the end of the third quarter of 2020, Bosnia and Herzegovina’s foreign debt totalled 8.6 billion marka, earlier data showed.
The Federation and the Serb Republic are the two autonomous entities forming Bosnia and Herzegovina. Brcko is a self-governing administrative unit in northeastern Bosnia which is part of both the Federation and the Serb Republic.
