SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), March 24 (SeeNews) – Bosnia's Federation will offer a combined 360 million marka ($198.8 million/184.1 million euro) in Treasury bills in several separate auctions in 2017, the government said.
The Federation will hold 3-month, 6-month, 9-month and 12-month T-bills auctions throughout the year to service due debt, it said in a statement following a weekly government session on Thursday.
The Federation is due to repay 380 million marka of debt this year.
The entity's government noted that it plans to raise 1.1 billion marka in external funding this year. Out of the total, 282.6 million marka is planned to come from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank and will be used to service the budget. The remaining 823.3 million marka is to be utilised for capital projects and will be provided by several well-known international financial institutions.
The Federation is one of the two autonomous entities forming Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Serb Republic.
