March 10 (SeeNews) - The government of Bosnia and Herzegovina's Federation said it has approved a programme for the allocation of 20.5 million marka ($11.1 million/10.5 million euro) in subsidies for the entity's railway operator, Zeljeznice FBiH, in 2023.
Zeljeznice FBiH will receive 14 million euro for railway infrastructure maintenance and further 6 million marka to settle debt obligations, the entity's government said in a statement on Thursday.
The remaining 500,000 marka will represent the Federation's participation in the financing of Bosnia and Herzegovina Railways Public Corporation (BHZJK).
BHZJK was founded under an agreement between Bosnia's two constituent autonomous entities - the Federation and the Serb Republic, to establish a joint railway public company.
