SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), December 7 (SeeNews) – Bosnia’s Muslim-Croat Federation plans to sell its majority stakes in BH Airlines and in telecoms company HT Mostar among other assets next year, its Privatisation Agency said.
The 2011 privatisation plan prepared by the Agency is still to be adopted by the government so some changes might occur, the Agency said on its website.

The government plans to privatise HT Mostar, aluminium smelter Aluminij, construction firm Hidrogradnja [SAJ:HDGSR], engineering firm Energoinvest [SAJ:ENISR], furniture maker Sipad Export Import, industrial equipment maker and repairer Remontni Zavod Travnik and metal products manufacturer UNIS [SAJ:UMISRK2] via tenders or direct negations with a buyer.
The state holdings in BH Airlines, insurer Sarajevo Osiguranje [SAJ:SOSOR], fuel trader Energopetrol [SAJ:ENPSR], drug firm Bosnalijek [SAJ:BSNLR] and cigarette maker Fabrika Duhana Sarajevo [SAJ:FDSSR] would be offered to investors on the Sarajevo Stock Exchange, the statement said.
The government of Bosnia’s Muslim-Croat Federation controls 50.1% of HT Mostar, Croatian peer T-HT owns 39.1%, Croatian postal operator Hrvatska Posta owns 5.23% and a stake of 5.57% is in the hands of minority shareholders, data from the company’s website showed.
HT Mostar is one of three telcos active in Bosnia. State-controlled BH Telecom, the largest in the trio, also operates in the Muslim-Croat Federation, which together with the Serb Republic forms Bosnia. The third one, Telekom Srpske, operates in the Serb Republic.
BH Airlines is the air carrier of the Federation, while Sky Srpska is the Serb Republic's. Turkish Airlines bought 49% of BH Airlines from the Federation government in December 2008. The remaining 51% still belongs to the Federation.
