September 16 (SeeNews) - The registered jobless rate in Bosnia's Federation entity edged up to 36.8% at the end of July from 36.6% a month earlier, the entity's statistical agency said on Monday.
Unemployment among women rose to 45% in July from 44.6% in June, the agency said in a statement.
The number of unemployed rose 0.6% on the month to 310,185 in July.
At the same time, the number of employed people remained unchanged month-on-month at 533,391 in July. The active population edged up 0.2% to 843,576.
The registered unemployment rate is calculated as a ratio of the number of unemployed to the total active population.
The Federation is one of two autonomous entities making up Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Serb Republic.
