September 16 (SeeNews) - The registered unemployment rate in Bosnia's Federation edged up to 37.4% in July, from 37.1% in June, the entity's statistical office said on Thursday.
Among women, unemployment increased to 45.4% in July from 45.0% in June, the Federation's statistical office said in a statement.
The number of unemployed people in the Federation rose 0.7% month-on-month in July, to 313,574, whereas the number of employed people dropped 0.3% to 525,292.
The economically active population in the Federation totalled 838,866 people in July.
The registered unemployment rate is calculated as the ratio of the number of unemployed to total active population.
The Federation is one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Serb Republic.
