July 18 (SeeNews) - The registered unemployment rate in Bosnia's Federation declined to 34.8% in May from 35.2% in April, the entity's statistical office said.
The number of unemployed people in the Federation fell 1.4% month-on-month in May to 286,644, whereas the number of employed people rose to 536,325, up 0.3% compared to April, the Federation's statistical office said in a monthly report on Friday.
The economically active population in the Federation totalled 822,969 people in May.
The registered unemployment rate is calculated as the ratio of the number of unemployed to total active population.
The Federation is one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Serb Republic.
