June 5 (SeeNews) - The tax administration of Bosnia's Federation said it collected 2.05 billion marka ($1.2 billion/1.1 billion euro) in taxes in the first five months of 2020, down 6.5% compared to the like period of last year.
In May alone, the tax administration collected 384.2 million marka, down 1.75% on a monthly comparison basis, it said in a statement on Thursday.
Revenue from direct taxes rose 4.6% on the year to 617.4 million marka in the January-May period.
Revenue from contributions fell 3.6% on the year to 1.4 billion marka in January-May due to lower payments into the state pension and health insurance funds.
The Federation is one of two entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Serb Republic.
