SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), March 1 (SeeNews) – Gross electricity production in Bosnia’s Muslim-Croat Federation dropped 13.7% to 822 GWh in January, the entity's statistic agency said.
The entity's hydro power plants produced 230 GWh through January, down from 455 GWh a year earlier, while its thermal power plants generated 592 GWh, up 18.9% on the year, the statistics agency said in a statement on Monday.
Electricity imports increased 44.6% on the year to 162 GWh, while exports halved to 149 GWh through January.
In 2015, gross electricity production in Bosnia’s Muslim-Croat Federation edged down 4.7% to 9,318 GWh.
The Federation is one of the two autonomous entities that make up Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Serb Republic.
