September 24 (SeeNews) - Bosnia's Federation government said it has approved the withdrawal of a 15 million euro ($16.5 million) loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) for a public transport project in the capital Sarajevo.
The loan will finance the purchase of new trolleybuses and related activities aimed at improving Sarajevo's public transport infrastructure and raising its capacity and efficiency, the government said in a statement last week.
The 13-year loan will have a two-year grace period, the statement said, adding the loan beneficiary is the Sarajevo canton.
The Federation is one of two autonomous entities that make up Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Serb Republic.
