September 30 (SeeNews) - The economic growth of Bosnia's Federation accelerated to a real 3.0% year-on-year in the second quarter of 2019, from 2.6% in the preceding quarter, the entity's statistical office said on Monday.
In seasonally-adjusted terms, the gross domestic product (GDP) increased by a quarterly 0.8% in April-June, after growing by 0.7% in January-March, the Federation's statistical office said in a statement.
In the second quarter of 2018, the entity's GDP grew by 3.2% year-on-year in real terms.
The largest real growth of the gross value added in the second quarter of 2019 was recorded in the wholesale and retail trade; repair of motor vehicles, motorcycles; transport and storage; accommodation and food services sectors, the statistical office said.
The Federation is one of two autonomous entities forming Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Serb Republic.
