SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), September 9 (SeeNews) – The energy ministry of Bosnia’s Muslim-Croat Federation said on Tuesday it has extended until September 15 the deadline for submitting bids in a tender for a consultant that will advise the entity with regards to the planned award of a concession for oil and gas exploration.
The entity's energy ministry did not elaborate on the reasons for the deadline extension in a statement posted on its website.
The initial deadline expired on September 8.
The value of the consultancy contract is 800,000 marka ($531,000/409,000 euro) without value added taxes.
In August, the entity's government said it has approved extending until November 3, 2015 a memorandum of understanding (MoU) that has been signed with a unit of Anglo-Dutch major Shell Exploration Company on exploration of oil and gas reserves.
The Federation is one of the two autonomous entities that make up Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Serb Republic.
