January 20 (SeeNews) - The average consumer prices in Bosnia's Federation fell by 0.9% last year, after growing by 0.6% in 2019 and by 1.6% in 2018, the Federation's statistical office said on Wednesday.
In December, the Federation's consumer price index (CPI) dropped by an annual 1.4%, after decreasing by 1.5% in November, the entity's statistical office said in a statement.
On a monthly comparison basis, the Federation's CPI edged down 0.3% in December, after adding 0.1% in November.
The prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages, which have the biggest weight in the consumer basket, rose by 1.4% year-on-year in December, while prices in the sector of housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels decreased by an annual 1.5%.
The Federation is one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Serb Republic.
