October 25 (SeeNews) - The number of construction permits issued in Bosnia's Federation rose 33.2% year-on-year to 297 in September, the entity's statistical office said on Monday.
The number of permits issued for residential and non-residential buildings increased 40.7% on an annual comparison basis in September, whereas the permits for civil engineering projects went up 10.7%, the statistical office said in a monthly report.
Out of the total number of permits issued in September, 253 covered new construction projects, 30 were related to upgrades and extensions, while the remainder covered works for reconstruction and conversion of buildings and spaces.
Based on the number of permits issued in September, planned dwellings numbered 356, up 37.5% year-on-year.
The Federation is one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Serb Republic.
