February 21 (SeeNews) - The number of building permits issued in Bosnia's Federation in 2019 rose 2% year-on-year, the entity's statistical office said.
The statistical office did not provide a figure for the total number of building permits issued in the entity last year.
In the fourth quarter alone, the number of building permits issued in Bosnia's Federation entity decreased by 1.4% year-on-year to 771, the statistical office said in a statement on Thursday.
Of the total number of permits issued in October-December, 640 covered buildings, down 4.2% on the year, and 131 were issued for civil engineering works, up by an annual 15%.
Based on the issued permits, a total of 915 new dwellings were planned for construction in the fourth quarter of 2019, up by 6.5% compared to the same quarter in 2018.
The Federation is one of the two autonomous entities that make up Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Serb Republic.
