January 25 (SeeNews) - The number of construction permits issued in Bosnia's Federation rose 14.7% year-on-year to 305 in December, the entity's statistical office said on Wednesday.
The number of permits issued for residential and non-residential buildings rose 23.4% on an annual comparison basis to 243 in December, whereas the permits for civil engineering projects totalled 62, down 10.1% on the year, the statistical office said in a monthly report.
Out of the total number of permits issued in December, 279 covered new construction projects, 20 were related to upgrades and extensions, while the remainder covered works for reconstruction and conversion of buildings and spaces.
Based on the number of permits issued in December, planned dwellings numbered 317, up 1.0% year-on-year.
The number of construction permits issued in Bosnia's Federation rose 4.8% year-on-year last year.
The Federation is one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Serb Republic.
