SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), February 26 (SeeNews) – The number of construction permits issued in Bosnia's Federation in January decreased by 24.9% year-on-year to 208, the entity's statistical office said.
The number of permits issued for residential and non-residential buildings fell 29% on an annual comparison basis in January, whereas the permits for civil engineering projects increased by 2.7%, the statistical office said in a monthly report on Tuesday.
Out of the total number of permits issued in January, 178 covered new construction projects, 17 were related to upgrades and extensions, while the remainder covered works for reconstruction and conversion of buildings.
Based on the number of permits, planned dwellings numbered 306, down 1.6% compared to January 2019.
The Federation is one of two autonomous entities forming Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Serb Republic.
