March 20 (SeeNews) - The consumer price index (CPI) of Bosnia's Federation rose by 13% on the year in February, following an increase of 14.7% in January, the Federation's statistical office said on Monday.
On a monthly comparison basis, the Federation's CPI added 0.1% in February, after it rose 0.3% in January, the entity's statistical office said in a monthly report.
The average consumer prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages, which have the biggest weight in the consumer basket, rose 20.3% on the year in February, prices in the sector of housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels went up 16%, while the transportation costs surged 9%.
The CPI of Bosnia's Federation rose by an annual average of 14.9% in 2022, following an increase by 2.1% in 2021 and a decline of 0.9% in 2020.
The Federation is one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Serb Republic.
