March 23 (SeeNews) - Bosnia's Federation consumer price index (CPI) rose by an annual 0.5% in February, after advancing by 0.8% year-on-year in January, the entity's statistical office said.
On a monthly comparison basis, the Federation's CPI remained unchanged in February, after rising by 0.5% in January, the statistical office said in a statement on Friday.
The prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages, which have the biggest weight of 27.90% in the consumer basket, rose by 1.4% year-on-year in February, after growing by 1.9% in January. Prices in the sector of housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels advanced by an annual 0.7% in February, after rising 0.9% in the month before.
The Federation's average consumer price inflation slowed to 0.6% in 2019, from 1.6% in 2018.
The Federation is one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Serb Republic.
