October 22 (SeeNews) - The government of Bosnia's Federation entity has decided to distribute 270 million marka ($153.9 million/138 million euro) from its budget to public companies for the construction of roads and motorways, local media reported.
The Federation will spend 100 million marka for the construction of the 30 km long Lasva - Nevic Polje motorway section, some 70 km north-west of Sarajevo, which will go through the Vitez business zone, news portal Klix.ba reported on Monday.
In addition, 7 million marka will be invested in a ring road around Mostar, some 130 km south of Sarajevo, while 13 million marka include the construction of the Praca - Gorazde motorway, some 36 km east of Sarajevo, as well as road reconstruction in the city of Mostar.
The Federation government will also allocate 40 million marka for the construction of the 20 km long subsection Sicki Brod - Djurdjevik of the Tuzla - Sarajevo road.
The media report did not mention other projects for road construction and overhaul that would benefit from the allocation of government funds.
The Federation is one of two autonomous entities forming Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Serb Republic.
