October 14 (SeeNews) - Bosnian builder Euro Asfalt has begun works on the construction of a 13 km section of the Drazenci-Gruskovje motorway in Slovenia, Slovenian state-owned motorway company DARS said.
The start of works was marked by a formal ceremony, DARS said in a press release published on its website last week.
In August, DARS signed a deal with Euro Asfalt for the construction of the Drazenci-Gruskovje motorway section worth a total of 7.5 million euro ($8.6 million).
The section will feature a 150 m tunnel, 24 bridges, seven overpasses and three underpasses and will improve traffic links between Slovenia and Croatia, cut transportation costs, save travel time and boost road safety.
The entire motorway is expected to be put into operation mid-2018.
