September 27 (SeeNews) - Elektroprivreda Republike Srpske (ERS), the power utility of Bosnia's Serb Republic, said it discussed with Hungarian energy company Lugos Renewables the construction of the 73 MW Trebinje 1 solar power plant.
ERS and Lugos Renewables discussed the conditions for the construction and financing of the solar power plant, ERS said in a statement last week, without providing further details.
ERS in October 2020 signed a 50-year concession contract with the energy ministry of the Serb Republic for the construction and operation of the Trebinje 1 photovoltaic (PV) plant, worth 100.75 million marka ($60.3 million/51.5 million euro).
The plant is expected to produce some 100 GWh of electricity per year. It will spread on 120 hectares and should be commissioned in 2022.
The Serb Republic is one of two autonomous entities forming Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Federation.
