January 29 (SeeNews) - Bosnian power utility Elektroprivreda BiH (EPBiH) said it is inviting bids in a tender for an overhaul of the turbine of Unit 6 of the Kakanj thermal power plant.
The deadline for submitting offers is February 25, according to a tender notice published on the company's website on Tuesday.
The Kakanj plant has an installed capacity of 450 MW. It produces some 2,300 GWh of electricity per year on average, consuming 1.8 million tonnes of coal.
The value of the works is estimated at 450,000 marka ($253,100/230,100 euro).
Kakanj is located in the Zenica-Doboj Canton, which is one of ten cantons forming Bosnia's Federation, one of two autonomous entities forming Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Serb Republic.
