SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), December 21 (SeeNews) – Bosnian power utility Elektroprivreda BiH [SAJ:JPESR] has launched a tender for preparatory works ahead of the construction of a 450 MW unit at the existing Tuzla thermal power plant (TPP).
The works, valued at 18 million marka ($10.9 million/9.2 million euro), include site preparation, removal of soil and dismantling of buildings, EPBiH said in a notice posted on Bosnia's public procurement portal on Wednesday.
The bidding deadline is February 6.
In November, Elektroprivreda BiH signed a loan deal with China's Ex-Im Bank to finance the construction of the power generation unit. Ex-Im Bank will lend 613 million euro for a period of 20 years, with a five-year grace. The total cost of the project is 722 million euro ($859.6 million).
The Federation is one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Serb Republic.
