August 23 (SeeNews) - Bosnia and Herzegovina's foreign debt totalled 9.741 billion marka ($4.94 billion/4.98 billion euro) at the end of June, up from 9.67 billion marka at the end of the previous quarter, the country's finance ministry said.
At the end of June 2021, Bosnia and Herzegovina’s foreign debt totalled 9.316 billion marka, earlier data showed.
The external debt of Bosnia's Federation entity rose to 5.53 billion marka at the end of June from 5.428 billion marka three months earlier, whereas the foreign debt of the Serb Republic entity decreased to 4.101 billion marka from 4.132 billion marka, the finance ministry said in a quarterly debt report on Monday.
The foreign debt of Brcko district amounted to 47.93 million marka at the end of June, up from 47.22 million marka at the end of June. The external debt of the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina edged down to 62.48 million marka at the end of June from 62.98 million marka three months earlier.
The Federation and the Serb Republic are the two autonomous entities forming Bosnia and Herzegovina. Brcko is a self-governing administrative unit in northeastern Bosnia which is part of both the Federation and the Serb Republic.
