August 1 (SeeNews) - Bosnian power utility Elektroprivreda BiH [SAJ:JPESR] said that its net profit plummeted to 219,401 marka ($114,900/112,200 euro) in the first half of 2022 from 45.3 million marka in the like period a year earlier.
The company's first-half operating revenue rose 19.4% on an annual comparison basis, reaching 635.8 million marka, while its operating costs increased 19.7% to 558.6 million marka, EPBiH said in a financial statement filed with the Sarajevo Stock Exchange (SASE) on Friday.
The company's expenses from value adjustments jumped to 63.8 million marka in the January-June period from 2.1 million marka in the first half of 2021.
Elektroprivreda BiH, Bosnia's largest power utility, is based in the Federation entity. Elektroprivreda RS is the power utility of the Serb Republic.
The Federation and the Serb Republic are two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina.
