August 25 (SeeNews) - Bosnian state-owned power transmission system operator Elektroprenos BiH said it plans to invest 288 million marka ($173 million/147 million euro) this year, according to local media reports.
The investments include reconstruction and enlargement of existing power facilities and construction of new ones, as well as investments in information technology, vehicles and tools and instruments, Nezavisne Novine daily reported on Tuesday.
The investments include reconstruction of 33 transformer stations and 10 power lines and construction of 110 kV power line Rama/Prozor - Uskoplje/Gornji Vakuf and upgrade of the company's telecommunications system.
The investments will be financed from the ncompany's own funds and loans.
Besides, Bosnia's energy regulator DERK has approved the company's investment plan and on the regulator's website, along with the planned investments for 2021, there are two non-planned urgent projects for delivery of two transformers, which are already under way, the daily added. The projects are considered of of crucial importance for the national power distribution system and are for delivery of a 400/110/x kV, 300/300/100 MVA transformer for transformer station Visegrad, worth 4.5 million marka, and for delivery of electricity transformer 220/110/x kV, 150 MVA, for transformer station Mostar 4, worth 2.5 million marka.
Elektroprenos BiH approved plans to invest 174 million marka in 2020, the Serb Republic entity government said in June 2020.
Bosnia's Federation government holds a 58.9% stake in Elektroprenos BiH, while the Serb Republic government has a 41.1% share.
Bosnia is made up of two autonomous entities - the Federation and the Serb Republic.
