SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), June 27 (SeeNews) – Bosnia and Herzegovina's consumer price index (CPI) rose 0.8% year-on-year in May, after increasing at the same annual rate a month earlier, the country's statistical office said on Thursday.
Prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages added 1.6% in May, prices of alcoholic beverages and tobacco increased by 3.6% and prices of housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels rose 3.4%, Bosnia's Agency for Statistics said in a monthly inflation report.
Prices of healthcare services increased 1.2% in May, transport prices were up 1.5%, prices in the sector of services at restaurants and hotels grew 0.7%, whereas prices in education also added 0.7%.
On a monthly comparison basis, Bosnia's consumer prices edged up 0.2% in May, after edging down 0.3% in April.
