SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), August 25 (SeeNews) – Consumer prices in Bosnia rose by 1.9% year-on-year in July, after increasing by an annual 1.7% in June, the statistical office said on Wednesday.
On a monthly comparison basis, consumer prices in Bosnia dipped by 0.1% in July, after adding 0.1% in June, the statistical office said in a statement.
Prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages increased by 2.3% on the year in July, prices of alcoholic beverages and tobacco rose by 1.8%, whereas prices of housing and utilities went up 1.1% and transport prices surged 9.7%.
Clothing and footwear prices decreased by 10% and prices of furnishing and household equipment declined by 0.7% on an annual comparison basis in July.
Bosnia's consumer prices decreased by 1% last year, after rising by 0.6% in 2019 and by 1.4% in 2018.
