SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), March 25 (SeeNews) – Bosnia and Herzegovina's consumer price index (CPI) increased by 0.3% year-on-year in February, after advancing by 0.7% a month earlier, the country's statistical office said.
On a monthly comparison basis, Bosnia's consumer prices edged up 0.1% in February, after adding 0.5% in January, the statistical office said in a statement on Monday.
Prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages added 0.8% on the year in February, prices of alcoholic beverages and tobacco increased by 5.4% and prices of housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels rose by 0.8%.
Prices of healthcare services increased by 0.9% year-on-year in February, transport prices rose by 0.3%, prices of services at restaurants and hotels grew 2.4%, whereas prices in education edged up 0.1%.
In 2019, Bosnia's average consumer price inflation slowed down to 0.6%, from 1.4% in 2018.
