SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), January 28 (SeeNews) – Bosnia and Herzegovina's consumer price index (CPI) increased by 0.3% year-on-year in December, after rising by 0.1% a month earlier, the country's statistical office said on Tuesday.
On a monthly comparison basis, Bosnia's consumer prices edged down 0.1% in December, after adding 0.1% in November, the statistical office said in a statement.
Bosnia's average consumer price inflation for the 12 months to end-December slowed down to 0.6%, from 1.4% in 2018.
Prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages added 1.5% on the year in December, prices of alcoholic beverages and tobacco increased by 5.7% and prices of housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels rose by 0.9%.
Prices of healthcare services increased by 0.6% year-on-year in December, transport prices fell by 0.8%, prices in the sector of services at restaurants and hotels grew 1.2%, whereas prices in education added 0.2%.
