SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), February 21 (SeeNews) – The number of construction permits issued in Bosnia in the fourth quarter of 2017 increased by 13.4% on the year to 1,091, the statistical office said.
The number of permits issued for buildings increased 9.6% on the year in the October-December period to 890, while the number of permits issued for civil engineering works rose 34% to 201, the office of statistics said in a statement.
Out of the total number of permits issued in the fourth quarter, 895 were for new construction projects, 106 related to extensions, 5 to reconstruction of dilapidated buildings, 7 to the conversion of non-residential space into dwellings, 14 to other conversion works and 64 to other reconstruction works.
In 2017 overall, the total number of building permits issued in Bosnia increased by 9.1%, the statistical office said.
