BANJA LUKA (Bosnia and Herzegovina), November 19 (SeeNews) – Bosnian diversified company Boksit [BANJ:BOKS-R-A] said it has signed a 30 million marka ($19.2 million/15.3 million euro) contract for bauxite deliveries with local aluminium producer Alumina for 2015.
The contract will enable full utilization of Boksit’s mining capacity and will cover a significant portion of Alumina’s needs for bauxite ore in 2015, Boksit said in a statement on its website on Tuesday.
Boksit and Alumina are strategic partners, which are bound by a framework long-term agreement for bauxite deliveries that covers the period until 2020.
Boksit’s core business is bauxite ore excavation. The company is also active in the extraction of other minerals, as well as in construction, transport, food processing and tourism.
Boksit is based in Milici, in the eastern part of the Serb Republic, which together with the Muslim-Croat Federation forms Bosnia.
