June 22 (SeeNews) - The shareholders of Bosnian state-controlled BH Telecom [SAJ:BHTS] approved the management's proposal to distribute a dividend of 0.551551 marka ($0.30/0.28 euro) per share for 2021, the company said.
Under the plan, BH Telecom will allocate to its shareholders an overall 35 million marka from its 2021 net profit, the company said in a public disclosure note filed with the Sarajevo Stock Exchange on Tuesday.
BH Telecom's net profit rose to 63.3 million marka last year from 47.2 million marka in 2020.
Last year, the telco distributed a regular dividend of 0.55 marka and an extra dividend in the amount of 0.788 marka.
BH Telecom is 90%-owned by the government of Bosnia's Federation, according to bourse data as of June 17.
BH Telecom is based in the capital Sarajevo and has customers mainly in the Federation entity, which makes up Bosnia together with the Serb Republic entity.
The other two Bosnian telecoms are HT Mostar, which is active in the Federation, and Telekom Srpske which operates in the Serb Republic.
