March 10 (SeeNews) - Bosnia’s state-controlled BH Telecom [SAJ:BHTS] said its net profit fell 21.8% year-on-year to 50.7 million marka ($27.5 million/25.9 million euro) in 2022.
Total revenue rose 8.5% on the year to 510 million marka in the year under review, BH Telecom said in its annual financial statement filed with the Sarajevo Stock Exchange on Thursday.
The telco's operating costs rose 9.9% year-on-year in 2022, to 417.6 million marka.
BH Telecom's shares traded 2.26% higher at 14 marka on the Sarajevo bourse by 11:50 CET on Friday.
BH Telecom is the largest of three telecommunications companies operating in Bosnia, which comprises two autonomous entities, the Federation and the Serb Republic.
BH Telecom is based in Bosnia's capital Sarajevo and has its customers mainly in the Federation. The company offers fixed and mobile voice services and Internet access.
The other two Bosnian telcos are HT Mostar, which is active in the Federation, and Telekom Srpske which operates in the Serb Republic.
