SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), April 24 (SeeNews) – Bosnia’s state-controlled BH Telecom [SAJ:BHTS] said its 2017 net profit dropped to 63.1 million marka ($39.4 million/32.2 million euro) in 2017, from 92.2 million marka in the previous year.
Operating income declined 4.7% to 499.1 million marka, while operating costs dropped 2.0% to 440.9 million marka, BH Telecom said in its 2017 financial statement filed with the Sarajevo Stock Exchange on Monday.
BH Telecom is the largest of the three telecommunications companies operating in Bosnia, which comprises two autonomous entities, the Federation and the Serb Republic.
The company is based in Bosnia's capital Sarajevo and has its customers mainly in the Federation. BH Telecom offers fixed and mobile voice services and Internet access.
The other two Bosnian telecoms are HT Mostar, which is active in the Federation, and Telekom Srpske which operates in the Serb Republic.
