BANJA LUKA (Bosnia and Herzegovina), November 25 (SeeNews) – Bosnia’s Banja Luka bourse replaced one of the components of its BIRS index of the 20 companies with the biggest market capitalisation, the stock exchange operator said on Monday.
Electrodes maker Elvaco [BANJ:ELVA-R-A] was removed from the BIRS index, while construction company Krajina GP [BANJ:KRJN-R-A] was included in it, the Banja Luka Stock Exchange (BLSE) said in a statement.
The other nineteen BIRS components continue to fulfill the criteria for inclusion in the index.
BIRS closed at 761.98 points on Friday, 23.80% down compared to May 1, 2004 when it was launched.
The BLSE operates in the Serb Republic, one of the two autonomous entities that make up Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Muslim-Croat Federation, where Bosnia's second bourse - the Sarajevo Stock Exchange, operates.
