June 10 (SeeNews) - Autoceste FBiH, the state-owned motorway operator of Bosnia's Federation, said on Friday it is inviting bids for a 160 million euro ($169.2 million) tender for construction works on the Medakovo - Poprikuse section, Medakovo - Ozimice subsection, on European transport Corridor Vc.
The 21.3-kilometre section includes one interchange, two two-sided rest areas, eight bridges and viaducts, two overpasses, 15 underpasses and one 2.2-kilometre-long tunnel, Autoceste FBiH said in a press release.
The expected duration of the project is 30 months.
The services are expected to be financed through funding provided by the European Investment Bank (EIB), as well as a 79 million euro grant from the European Union provided within the Western Balkans Investment Framework (WBIF).
Bidders can submit their offers by August 9.
Corridor Vc has a total length of 700 km and connects the port of Ploce in Croatia with Budapest in Hungary, stretching some 340 km across Bosnia.
The Federation is one of the two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other is the Serb Republic.
