June 26 (SeeNews) - Consumer prices in Bosnia rose by 6.5% on the year in May, after an annual increase of 7.9% in April, the country's statistical office said on Monday.
In May, the average prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages surged by 11.1% year-on-year, prices of housing and utilities went up 12.6%, while transport prices fell by 8.9%, the statistical office said in a monthly inflation report.
On a monthly comparison basis, consumer prices dipped 0.2% in May, after adding 0.1% in April.
Bosnia closed last year with average annual inflation of 14%, up from 2% in 2021.
