Bosnia's annual inflation slows to 4.9% in June

July 26 (SeeNews) - Consumer prices in Bosnia rose by 4.9% on the year in June, after an annual increase of 6.5% in May, the country's statistical office said on Wednesday.

In June, the average prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages surged by 10.2% year-on-year, prices of housing and utilities went up 9.2%, while transport prices fell by 12.7%, the statistical office said in a monthly inflation report.

On a monthly comparison basis, consumer prices dipped 0.2% in May, after a decline of the same rate in May.

Bosnia closed last year with average annual inflation of 14%, up from 2% in 2021.
