SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), April 24 (SeeNews) – Bosnia and Herzegovina's consumer price index (CPI) rose 1.1% year-on-year in March, after growing by an annual 0.9% in the prior month, official statistical data shows.
Prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages rose by 1.3% year-on year in March, prices of alcoholic beverages and tobacco increased by by 7.9% and prices of housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels added 2.2%, according to a monthly inflation report published by Bosnia's Agency for Statistics.
Prices of healthcare services rose by 1.2% on the year in March; transport by 5.6%; recreation and culture by 0.9%; restaurants and hotels by 0.2%.
On a monthly comparison basis, Bosnia's consumer prices rose 0.4% in March, after increasing by 1.0% in February.
Bosnia swung to annual inflation of 1.3% in 2017, compared to deflation of 1.1% in 2016.
